Your Role
At an early stage it is likely that your responsibilities will be to assist the Health & Safety team in providing timely and appropriate advice and guidance to our site teams. This will include assisting with site vists and audits to ensure compliance with specified procedures and standards, being involved in the identification, co-ordination and evaluation of health, safety and environmental training and actively promoting best practice throughout all stages of the construction process.
Your Degree
We would expect you to either have just completed your degree or be in your final year of a construction related degree that is accredited by the Chartered Institute of Builders (CIOB) or in an Occupational Health related degree with a genuine interest in our industry. Either way we need you to have achieved a 2.1 or be on track for achieving one.
Your Profile
We need you to have strong knowledge of relevant legislative issues but equally important is your ability to be able to communicate these to the wider workforce and not to be afraid of questioning and challenging current practice.
Your Career Path
Throughout the early stages of your career we will provide you with the support you need to become a chartered member of the Institute of Occupational Health & Safety (IOSH). In parallel with this you will have numerous learning opportunities through participating in our Graduate Framework and taking advantage of other development activities. For the next stage of your career you might decide to progress your career through the health & safety route or branch out into project or site management - either way the career opportunities available are limited only by your ambition
