Our Graduate Framework
The winning team
What to expect

On joining you will participate in a Divisional induction process that will help you settle into your new work environment. Later in the year (normally around October) your induction to The Miller Group commences and gives you an opportunity to meet other graduates as well as many of our Senior Managers and Directors.

Throughout the Graduate Framework, graduates will be encouraged to network with other graduates throughout the UK. For us, networking means talking to different people, getting to know different parts of our business, understanding who does what and how, putting faces to names and even making new friends. We will start you off on this process by allocating you a buddy and then within six months of starting we will agree an appropriate mentor for you.

Your buddy will be another trainee, undergraduate or graduate who has been with us for at least a year. Where possible we will provide you with a buddy once your offer has been confirmed so that you can get to know us before you start. Your mentor will be someone more senior within your Division who will act as a 'sounding board' regarding your career development.

Your line manager will be responsible for ensuring you have the skills and knowledge required to carry out your role. In addition to our Performance Review process, graduates benefit from a quarterly review process which gives an opportunity for you and your line manager to reflect on what you have achieved and what the objectives are for the next three months in relation to your job and your participation in the Graduate Framework. In parallel with your day to day activities, you will be expected to focus on working towards achieving chartered status with the relevant professional institutes (probably RICS, CIOB or MICE). To help you achieve this we work closely with the institutes and will also assign you a professional mentor and pay your membership fees.

The Miller Group takes social responsibility very seriously and we encourage our graduates to get involved in activities that develop them while supporting our commitment to our nominated charities. We are a long standing supporter of The Princes Trust and more recently The Duke of Edinburgh's Award Scheme. These relationships enable us to offer graduates career and life-skills developmental opportunities not easily accessible within the working environment but very transferable.
