Appointed a Non-Executive Director of Miller Group in November 2008, he became Chairman on 1 January 2009.
Formerly Chairman of both Scottish & Newcastle PLC and Standard Life. In February 2010 he was appointed Chairman Designate and Non-Executive Director of C & C Group.
He is a qualified Chartered Accountant.
